01 Who we are
Utah Money Tools (utahmoneytools.com) is an independent website providing free, Utah-specific financial calculators and estimators. We are not affiliated with the State of Utah, the Utah State Tax Commission, or any financial institution.
02 What information we collect
We collect only the minimum information necessary to operate the site. Here’s a summary:

03 Your calculator inputs
All calculation logic runs locally in JavaScript on your device. Closing or refreshing the page clears everything you entered. We designed it this way intentionally — financial information is personal, and you shouldn’t have to share it with us to use our tools.
04 How we use your information
We use the limited information we collect only for the following purposes:
Contact form submissions
Used solely to respond to your message. We do not add you to any mailing list, share your information with third parties, or use it for marketing without your explicit consent.
Analytics data
Used in aggregate to understand which calculators are most visited, identify errors, and improve the site. We never use analytics data to identify individual users.
Server logs
Used for security monitoring and diagnosing technical issues. Logs are retained for a limited period and then deleted.
05 Cookies and tracking
This site uses cookies — small text files stored on your device. We use two categories:
Analytics cookies
We use Google Analytics to collect anonymized traffic data. Google Analytics sets cookies to help us understand how visitors use the site. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

07 Advertising
This site displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. Some ads may be personalized based on your browsing history. We do not control which ads are shown and do not receive any personal data from Google about individual ad viewers.
Some links on this site may be affiliate links. If you click an affiliate link and make a purchase or sign up for a service, we may receive a small commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not influence the accuracy or content of our calculators.
08 Data retention
Contact form submissions are retained only as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry, typically no longer than 12 months. Server logs are retained for up to 90 days for security purposes and then deleted. Analytics data is retained in anonymized, aggregated form.
09 Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal information we hold about you.
Because we collect very little personal data, and none from your calculator usage, these rights will rarely be relevant. However, if you submitted a contact form and would like us to delete that information, please reach out and we will do so promptly.
California residents may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). We do not sell personal information to third parties.
10 Children’s privacy
This site is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through our contact form, please contact us and we will delete it immediately.
11 Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the site following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
